We know: In the photo above, the casing is included in the measurement. To make the calculation easier, let’s imagine the arm’s circumference was 15 inches. If the tape started at 0, the measurement would show approximately 13, because the casing portion is about 2 inches as you see in the next photo.
But it is not a mistake: If the started at about 2 inches, the measurement would show 15 inches, making it possible to obtain the correct figure without cumbersome mental calculations. This is why our tape measure starts at about 2 inches.
Draw the retractable body tape out of the case and encircle any other body part.
Insert the lock pin into the hole and press the button to automatically tighten the ruler around your waist or body part.
Record your measurement reading that is the number shown where the tape comes out of the case slot.
Take out the pin and read the number. The tape won’t retract until the button is pushed again.
